During her time at Franklin Pierce, Viridiana excelled both academically and athletically. She was a key member of the FPU Women’s Soccer team, competing in the highly competitive Northeast-10 Conference.
On the field, Viridiana was a dominant force in defense, earning multiple selections as Defender of the Week. Her exceptional performances also led to her receiving the prestigious Northeast-10 Elite Award, making her the first soccer player to earn this honor, which recognizes student-athletes who excel both in their sport and academically.
Viridiana’s academic achievements were equally impressive. She was inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society for Business Management and Administration, as well as the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society. Her dedication to her studies culminated in her graduating as the Valedictorian of the Class of 2022, a testament to her hard work and determination.
Breaking Barriers in Professional Soccer
Following her successful collegiate career, Viridiana took her talents to the professional stage, joining Puebla Femenil in Liga MX Femenil. Her entry into the team was unique, with a memorable introduction by her partner, forward Verónica Martins.
